Pixdaus takes a different approach to environmental photography. Although we moderate submissions, all of the beautiful pictures of nature and the environment are created by you. You are the photographers, the editors and the taste-makers. Your photography and your votes are what make Pixdaus a truly unique corner of the internet. How Does it All Work?
Photographs are submitted to the site and then are voted on by users. If they're really good, they get promoted to the front page, where they get even more exposure. If users don't like the photo you posted and it is voted down, it gets buried.
How Do I Increase My Rating?
Your rating consists of various factors, but the most important thing is how much you use the site and how positively you use it. For every action you do, you get points e.g. for posting a comment, for uploading a pic, for inviting friends to Pixdaus and for reporting offensive photos. Your rating also increases when somebody either upvotes you directly, or upvotes your pictures or your comments. If a user downvotes your pics or comments however, it won't affect your rating in the slightest.
